Sachet Packing Machine Cost: Compare Same-Scope Quotes

Updated October 2026

Two sachet quotations are comparable only when both use the same product, dose, finished pack and film. Until those lines match, the two totals describe the wrong purchase.

LINEVO does not publish a sachet price list, and this page publishes no amount. Two sachet quotations are comparable only when both use the same product, dose, finished pack and film, and both mark lanes, dosing, seal style, coding, change parts, sample test, commissioning and spares as included, optional, separately quoted, excluded or unknown. Until those lines match, the two totals are not prices for the same purchase.

The shared basis to send to every supplier

Write the shared basis once and send the same version to every supplier.

Shared basis: one version for every supplier
RowWhat you recordWhy both offers need it
ProductWhat it is; powder, granule, paste or liquid; particles, foam, dust or bridging if already knownThe product decides the dosing system, so a different description points to a different machine
DoseFill per sachet by weight or volume, and your tolerance if you have oneSets the dosing unit both quotes must name
Finished packWidth and length, or a drawing or sample sachetSets the seal style and the width the lanes have to fit
FilmLaminate structure or film data sheet; a film sample only after shipping is agreedSealing is reviewed with the product, not from the film alone

A powder-sachet page published on April 15, 2026 describes fine powder as able to change bulk density between batches, put particles in the air during filling and bridge in a hopper. That is the page's description, not a LINEVO measurement, and it is the reason the product has to be named the same way on both quotes.

Send the product and film details together, so dosing, product clearance from the seal and sealing conditions are reviewed as one configuration. For alcohol-based products, add your site's hazardous-area rules. A film or safety feature listed on one configuration does not carry over to every sachet machine.

The sachet packing machines page already lists what to send: product and safety data, viscosity or granule size or density, seal style and finished size, film specification, dose per sachet, target output, and cleaning and site limits. This worksheet uses the sachet-specific rows. Destination, power and compressed air stay on the project brief checklist.

Check that both offers quote the same kind of machine

A sachet here is a flat pack sealed on three or four sides and formed from roll film. A stick pack is a narrow back-sealed pack. A premade pouch arrives already formed. Those are different machines, so their quotations are not the same purchase.

  • A back-seal stick quote beside a flat sachet quote: settle the format first with stick pack vs sachet.
  • A premade pouch offer: that family has its own premade pouch machine cost worksheet.
  • Tea dosed into an inner bag and then an outer envelope: the sachet family page describes this as a separate process, not a flat three- or four-side sachet.
  • A single-lane or benchtop machine: the LINEVO sachet family does not list one, so that offer has no LINEVO counterpart on this worksheet.

For the definition and the seal-style boundary, read what a sachet is.

Lanes and dosing: what each quote must name

The product decides the dosing system: piston or lobe pump for liquids and pastes, servo auger for powders, volumetric dosing for granules, as listed on the LINEVO configurations. Ask each quote to name the dosing unit for your product and to say whether each lane is adjusted on its own.

Lane count follows sachet width and the film width the machine accepts. A cut is one knife cycle across the film, so finished sachets also depend on how many lanes are running. Real output depends on the product, the fill and the sachet length, and it is confirmed in a sample test rather than read off a listing.

Sachets per minute, filling accuracy and prices are not published for this family. The quotation scope changes with the lane count, the pump or auger, coding, hazardous-area needs for alcohol products, the film and the site requirements. Ask each quote for the lane count it assumes for this pack width and the speed unit it uses for this product and this pack.

Listed configurations stay on the sachet family page. Branch detail is in the powder and liquid and sauce guides.

Seal style, coding and change parts

A sachet buyer's note published on August 8, 2025 says the buyer should know whether the pack is three-side sealed, four-side sealed or back sealed, and should know the finished width and length, because the machine is sized to that bag. It treats film type as a separate input. A four-side-seal package page retrieved on October 7, 2026 describes that format as heat-sealed on all sides.

Ask each quote to state three-side or four-side seal for your finished size. An offer that quotes a different seal style is quoting a different pack.

Coding is its own line. Record whether batch or date coding is in the offer and where the code sits on the sachet. A quote that does not mention coding gets the mark unknown, not included.

Change parts follow the widths you list. The spare parts page notes that a width change on a multi-lane stick pack or sachet machine uses lane arrangement and cutting parts. List every sachet width you run and ask each quote which forming and cutting parts it supplies for each one. The quotation should state the formats covered and the change parts for each.

Sample test, commissioning and spares

The machine is only part of the quoted scope. A LINEVO quotation should state the model and configuration, included units, optional items, anything still to review, formats and the change parts for each, any performance statement with its product and pack, utilities, checks before shipment, documents, packing and delivery, installation and training and their costs, recommended spare and wear parts, the price and the contracting entity. This worksheet marks the sachet lines from that list. It does not fill in the price.

Sample test

Mark whether a test with your product and film is included, optional or not offered. Samples are sent only after the quantity and address are agreed. A test record identifies the product, packaging material, machine configuration, settings and observations. A short test does not by itself establish long-term output, another batch or film, or units that were not in the test. See sample-testing preparation.

Commissioning

Whether installation and commissioning are supported on site or remotely is agreed for each project. The usual order is unpack and check, position, connect utilities and check safety devices, run without product, run with packaging material, run with product for each approved format, then record the agreed measurements. Mark each quote as on site, remote or not in the offer. The installation and training page describes the sequence.

Spares

For multi-lane stick pack and sachet machines, the spare-parts page lists film slitting, forming per lane, auger or pump dosing per lane, cross-sealing jaws and cutting as the main assemblies. Typical wear parts are sealing jaws, heating elements, cutting knives, and seals and O-rings in pumps and nozzles. The recommended list for the quoted configuration is the reference, so mark whether each offer includes one.

Same-scope worksheet for two sachet quotes

Copy the table into your own sheet or print the page. Confirm that both suppliers received the same shared basis, then mark every scope line for each quote with one of five marks:

  • Included: named in the offer and covered by its total
  • Optional: offered as an option
  • Separately quoted: named in another quotation or by another supplier
  • Excluded: stated as outside the supply
  • Unknown: not mentioned, so ask before comparing

Leave a cell blank until the quote answers it. A blank cell is unknown.

Close the gaps before comparing totals

Two totals mean something side by side only after every row carries the same mark on both quotes, or each difference is listed and answered. Ask the supplier in writing to resolve each unknown, and note the clause or page where the answer appears.

  • Unknown on one quote, included on the other: ask the first supplier to state the line, then mark it again.
  • Optional or separately quoted: keep that line beside the total it belongs to, rather than folding it in.
  • Excluded: the line is outside that offer, so decide who supplies it.
  • Different lane count or seal style: the offers describe different configurations. Ask both for the same pack width and seal style, or treat them as separate options.

Prices, delivery, installation, training and acceptance criteria are confirmed in the quotation, not from a price list.

When this worksheet does not apply

  • Premade pouches and back-seal stick packs: different machines with their own scope.
  • Tea in an inner bag and outer envelope: a separate process from flat three- or four-side sachets.
  • Single-lane or benchtop sachet machines: not listed in the LINEVO sachet family.
  • Cost per finished sachet: this page does not estimate it.
  • Destination, power and compressed air: the project brief checklist covers the site and utility details.
  • Faults on a running machine: use the sachet machine troubleshooting log.

What to send, and what happens next

Send the filled worksheet, which is your configuration record, or the product and film sample it names. Mark anything not decided as open. The team uses that record to suggest a series, model and lane count and to say whether a sample test is needed before quoting. We reply within 24 hours.

Agree the product and film quantities and the shipping address before any sample is sent.

Method and sources

This worksheet uses LINEVO's published sachet family page, project brief checklist, services overview, and the sample-testing, installation and training, and spare-parts pages, reread on October 13, 2026.

Third-party pages supply only the mechanism notes credited in the text: a powder-sachet page published April 15, 2026, a sachet buyer's note published August 8, 2025, and a four-side-seal package page retrieved October 7, 2026. The powder-sachet page and the buyer's note were retrieved October 8, 2026. Their speeds, accuracy figures and prices were not used.
