What the straight-line hookah packaging line does
The line takes shisha tobacco or paste through to a boxed, film-wrapped retail pack in one straight run. Its core is four machines: the horizontal high-speed shisha packing machine, which measures each pouch automatically; a weighing scale that weighs the finished pouches as they are conveyed; a cartoning machine that puts the pouches into the box and folds it; and a cellophane wrapping machine that wraps each box in transparent film. The full layout below runs to eight stations.

- 1. Extruder
- 2. Pillow-type packer
- 3. Checkweigher
- 4. Cartoning machine
- 5. Weight sorting scale
- 6. Inkjet printer
- 7. Small-box cellophane wrapping machine
- 8. Large-box cellophane wrapping machine
Which stations to quote
We supply the stations one by one as well as the complete line. A quotation can cover the pouch packer alone, the packer with a weighing scale and cartoner, or the full run through cellophane wrapping. The other stations in the layout answer specific needs: a weight sorting scale sorts the boxes by weight, an inkjet printer codes the box, and the large-box wrapping machine wraps a larger outer box after the single boxes.
Each station belongs to a machine family we also build on its own: flow wrapping for the pouch packer, cartoning for the boxes and cellophane overwrapping for the film wrap.
Straight line or corner line?
Both lines run the same four functions: pouch packing, weighing, cartoning and cellophane wrapping. The straight line lays them out in one run and has room for eight stations. The corner-type line turns around a corner and has five, for rooms where a straight run does not fit. Send the room plan with the doors, columns and the place where finished boxes leave, and we propose the layout.
How fast the line runs
No line speed is listed. A line runs at the pace of its slowest station, and that depends on the box format and the number of pouches per box. The pouch packer at the start lists 50–120 bags per minute. The quotation states the rate of the whole line and which station sets it.
What to send for a hookah line quotation
These details let us choose the stations, size the cartoner and wrappers to your box and state the line rate.
- The material: loose shisha tobacco or paste, with a sample if you can send one
- Pouch weights and pouch size, or a sample pouch
- A sample box, and the number of pouches per box
- Whether boxes are coded, sorted by weight or wrapped again in a larger box
- Target boxes per minute or per shift
- Room plan, and the voltage, phase and frequency at the line

How this fits the Flow Wrapping Machines process
Horizontal flow wrappers carry products on an infeed conveyor into a film tube, fin-seal it underneath and cross-seal each pack. Product dimensions, the infeed method and the film define the scope of a configuration.
This page is one of the catalog configurations in the Flow Wrapping Machines family. Compare it with the other configurations when your product or pack format differs.
This configuration is also listed on a page that compares the options for the same kind of product or machine.
The linked guides explain how this type of machine works and how to choose one.
Questions buyers ask about this configuration
