How the LV-350SY horizontal hookah packaging machine works
The LV-350SY combines two machines: an extruder and a horizontal pillow-type packer. The material sits in an 80 L hopper, the extruder pushes the shisha tobacco or paste forward, and the packer wraps each portion in film from the reel, seals it and cuts off a pillow pouch. The pack weight of each pouch is measured automatically.
It packs 100–500 g pouches at a listed 50–120 bags per minute, the highest speed among our hookah and shisha packaging machines. The packer is a horizontal flow wrapper: the film is formed into a tube around the product, sealed along its length and cross-sealed at each end, as described on our flow wrapping machines page.
Which shisha pouches it packs
The listed packaging range is 100–500 g, for loose shisha tobacco and for Arab and Turkish shisha tobacco paste. Below 100 g, the vertical LV-320SY covers 20–100 g. If you sell both 50 g and 250 g pouches, no single automatic packer covers both weights: plan this machine for the larger pouch and the vertical packer for the smaller one, or, at lower volume, the semi-automatic LV-SY, which lists 50–1000 g.
The widest film reel is 350 mm. Send the finished pouch size or a sample pouch, and we check it against the film width and make the pouch tooling for each size you run.
From listed speed to pouches per shift
The 50–120 bags per minute is a range. Where your pouch sits in it depends on the pack weight, the film and how your tobacco or paste extrudes. Hypothetical example: at an assumed 60 bags per minute, an 8-hour shift forms 60 × 480 = 28,800 pouches before stops for film changes, cleaning and rejects. That is a calculation, not a rating; the quotation states the rate for your pouch.
From pouch packer to boxed and wrapped pouches
This packer is the first station of our straight-line and corner-type hookah packaging lines. After it, a weighing scale checks the pouches, a cartoner puts them into a box and folds it, and a cellophane wrapping machine wraps each box in transparent film. We supply the stations one by one as well as complete lines, so the quotation can cover the packer alone or the packer with any of those stations.
Horizontal packer or premade pouch packer?
Two of our machines carry the model number LV-350SY. This one forms pouches from film; the premade pouch LV-350SY fills pouches you buy ready-made. Both cover 100–500 g. The horizontal packer lists 50–120 bags per minute, a length of 1417.5 mm and 200 kg; the premade pouch packer lists 10–20 bags per minute, 4799 mm and 450 kg. Choose the horizontal packer for volume, and the premade one when your pack has to stay a ready-made pouch. Name the machine type as well as the model when you ask for a quotation.
What to send for a horizontal hookah packer quotation
These details let us confirm the pouch tooling, the extrusion of your material and the rate for your pouch.
- The material: loose shisha tobacco or paste, how moist it is, and a sample if you can send one
- Every pouch weight you sell, for example 100 g and 250 g
- Pouch size or a sample pouch, and the film you use
- Target pouches per minute or per shift
- Stations after the packer: weighing scale, cartoner, cellophane wrapper, coding
- Site supply at the machine position; the machine lists 220 V, 50/60 Hz, 2.4 kW

How this fits the Flow Wrapping Machines process
Horizontal flow wrappers carry products on an infeed conveyor into a film tube, fin-seal it underneath and cross-seal each pack. Product dimensions, the infeed method and the film define the scope of a configuration.
This page is one of the catalog configurations in the Flow Wrapping Machines family. Compare it with the other configurations when your product or pack format differs.
This configuration is also listed on a page that compares the options for the same kind of product or machine.
The linked guides explain how this type of machine works and how to choose one.
Questions buyers ask about this configuration
Short answers to what buyers ask most often when they review a configuration.
How do I get output and dimensions for my product?
Read each listed figure with the material, format and conditions shown beside it. Output, pack-size range and utilities for your product are confirmed in the quotation.
Can I test my product before ordering?
A representative sample test helps resolve material-specific questions before quotation. Please do not ship physical samples until the team has confirmed the quantity needed and where to send them.
Is this the configuration I would receive?
The page identifies a catalog reference configuration. The model, included and optional equipment, formats and performance conditions for your project are confirmed in the quotation and agreement.
What defines the scope of a Flow Wrapping Machines configuration?
Horizontal flow wrappers carry products on an infeed conveyor into a film tube, fin-seal it underneath and cross-seal each pack. Product dimensions, the infeed method and the film define the scope of a configuration.
