How the LV-135C semi-automatic can seamer works
The LV-135C is a single-station seamer for a hand-run closing step. The operator places a filled can with its lid at the station, the machine runs the seaming cycle, and the operator takes the closed can off and loads the next one. Because every can is handled by hand, the listed 15–20 cans per minute depends on the operator's pace.
It closes cans in air. If the can has to be closed under vacuum, the LV-135B is the hand-loaded vacuum seamer. How a seamer forms the seam, and how the five machines compare, is set out on the can seaming machines page.
From 15–20 cans per minute to cans per shift
At 15 cans per minute, an 8-hour shift closes 7,200 cans before breaks and changeovers. When the filler before the seamer runs faster than one operator can keep up with, compare the conveyor-fed automatic servo can seamer, rated at 30–45 cans per minute.
What to send for an LV-135C quotation
These details let us confirm the change parts for each can and the station setup.
- Empty cans and lids of every format, or dimensioned drawings; the listed range is 50–126 mm diameter and 50–200 mm height
- Can material and lid type
- The product packed and its fill level
- Target cans per minute or per shift
- Site supply at the machine position; the machine lists AC 220 V, single-phase, 50 Hz, 0.37 kW
Configuration and scope
We develop the equipment configuration, tooling and integration around your product, pack format and production requirements.
Included equipment
- One seaming station with seaming rollers, loaded by hand
Equipment options
- Filling machine and conveyor before the seamer, quoted with the line
Configuration items for engineering review
- Chuck, rollers and guides for each can and lid format you run
Machine features
Review these features with our engineering team to select the configuration for your product and packaging requirements.
- One seaming station, loaded and unloaded by the operator.
- Stainless steel exterior and Cr12 seaming rollers.
- Output of 15–20 cans per minute, depending on the operator's proficiency.
Working process
The sequence below outlines the packaging process. We coordinate the stations and their order with the selected equipment and line layout.
- Step 1 — The operator places the filled can with its lid at the seaming station.
- Step 2 — The machine runs the seaming cycle and closes the can.
- Step 3 — The operator removes the closed can and loads the next one.
Specifications and conditions
The specifications below describe this configuration with its operating conditions. We review the product, pack format, tooling and utilities for your installation.
| Parameter | Specification | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Seaming speed | 15–20 cans/min | Operating range. The rate depends on how quickly the operator loads and unloads each can. |
| Seaming stations | 1 | One station, loaded and unloaded by the operator. |
| Can diameter | 50–126 mm | Operating range. The chuck and rollers are set for each can and lid; send samples of every format. |
| Can height | 50–200 mm | Operating range, checked with your can and lid samples. |
| Machine power | 0.37 kW | Power of the seamer. |
| Power supply | AC 220 V, single-phase, 50 Hz | Electrical supply for this configuration. We specify voltage, phase and frequency to match your installation in the quotation. |
| Machine weight | Approx. 110 kg | Machine weight; shipping weight and crate size are confirmed with the order. |
| Machine dimensions | Approx. 630 × 420 × 1350 mm | Machine length × width × height. The floor space of every quoted unit is confirmed on the layout drawing. |
| Exterior material | Stainless steel | Select the exterior steel grade during configuration review. |
| Seaming roller material | Cr12 | Steel used for the seaming rollers. |
How this fits the Can Seaming Machines process
Can seaming machines close a filled can by rolling the lid's edge and the can's flange into a seam, by hand-loaded station or on a conveyor, and with or without vacuum or nitrogen. The can and lid, the atmosphere in the can and the line output define the scope of a configuration.

Questions buyers ask about this configuration
Short answers to what buyers ask most often when they review a configuration.
How do I get output and dimensions for my product?
Use each specification with its material, format and operating conditions. Our engineers define the output, pack-size range and utilities for your production requirements.
Can I test my product before ordering?
A representative sample test helps resolve material-specific questions before quotation. Please do not ship physical samples until the team has confirmed the quantity needed and where to send them.
Is this the configuration I would receive?
We configure the machine around your product, pack formats and production requirements. Our engineering review defines the model, equipment, options and operating conditions for your project.
