How the LV-135ZFG automatic vacuum can seamer works
Filled cans arrive on the conveyor, and a servo-driven indexing table moves each one through the working positions under one seaming head. A water-ring vacuum pump with a 100–200 L buffer tank provides the vacuum, and the head forms a double seam. The control program checks for the lid and stops the machine on a can jam, with a one-button reset once the fault is cleared.
The listed 25–35 cans per minute depends on the can, the condition of the product and the fill level, so a representative filled can is the best basis for the rate in the quotation.
Vacuum level and the vacuum equipment
We define the vacuum target and measurement method for your product during engineering review. Send the level you need, or the shelf-life target it serves.
The vacuum pump and buffer tank stand beside the seamer frame (2000 × 1000 × 1750 mm, approx. 650 kg). Leave floor space for the external vacuum pump and buffer tank on your line layout; we provide the complete installation drawing with the order.
LV-135ZFG or the other vacuum seamers
The hand-loaded LV-135B also closes cans under vacuum, at 4–8 cans per minute. The automatic vacuum nitrogen seamer adds nitrogen filling and lists a residual oxygen below 3%, at 4–8 cans per minute. Choose the LV-135ZFG for conveyor-fed vacuum seaming at line speed, and the nitrogen machine when the product needs a residual oxygen target.
What to send for an LV-135ZFG quotation
These details let us confirm the change parts, the vacuum and the layout.
- Empty cans and lids of every format, or dimensioned drawings, and a filled can if possible
- The product, its condition and the fill level
- The vacuum you need and how you measure it
- Target cans per minute and the output of the filler before the seamer
- Space for the vacuum pump and buffer tank, and the conveyor layout
- Site supply and compressed air; the machine lists AC 380 V, 50 Hz, approx. 7 kW and at least 0.4 MPa

- Position of the vacuum pump and buffer tank on the layout
- Chuck, rollers and guides for each can and lid format you run
Machine features
Review these features with our engineering team to select the configuration for your product and packaging requirements.
- Missing-lid alarm, no seaming without a lid, and a machine stop when a can jams.
- Adjustable machine speed.
- Indexing table driven by a servo motor, with adjustable torque and speed.
- One-button reset once a fault is cleared.
- Double seaming with chromium steel seaming rollers.
Working process
The sequence below outlines the packaging process. We coordinate the stations and their order with the selected equipment and line layout.
- Step 1 — The conveyor brings the filled cans to the machine.
- Step 2 — The servo-driven indexing table moves each can through the working positions.
- Step 3 — The vacuum system, a water-ring pump with a buffer tank, provides the vacuum for the seaming stage.
- Step 4 — The seaming head forms the double seam, and the closed can returns to the conveyor.
Specifications and conditions
The specifications below describe this configuration with its operating conditions. We review the product, pack format, tooling and utilities for your installation.
| Parameter | Specification | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Seaming speed | 25–35 cans/min | Operating range. The rate depends on the can, the condition of the product and the fill level. |
| Seaming heads | 1 | Number of seaming heads in this configuration. |
| Seaming method | Double seam | Seaming method for this configuration. |
| Can format | Set to customer can samples | Can diameter, height and format tooling are defined with your can and lid samples. Review every format you run. |
| Total power | Approx. 7 kW | Total installed power for this configuration. |
| Power supply | AC 380 V, 50 Hz | Electrical supply for this configuration. We specify voltage, phase and frequency to match your installation in the quotation. |
| Compressed air | ≥0.4 MPa | See table note |
| Air consumption | Approx. 0.3 m³/min | See table note |
| Vacuum buffer tank | 100–200 L | Equipped with one water-ring vacuum pump. The tank size for your line is confirmed in the quotation. |
| Machine weight | Approx. 650 kg | Confirm whether the listed weight includes the vacuum pump and buffer tank when defining shipping weight and crate size. |
| Machine dimensions | 2000 × 1000 × 1750 mm | Length × width × height. Review whether the dimensions include the separate vacuum pump and buffer tank; the layout drawing defines the complete floor space. |

How this fits the Can Seaming Machines process
Can seaming machines close a filled can by rolling the lid's edge and the can's flange into a seam, by hand-loaded station or on a conveyor, and with or without vacuum or nitrogen. The can and lid, the atmosphere in the can and the line output define the scope of a configuration.

Questions buyers ask about this configuration
Short answers to what buyers ask most often when they review a configuration.
How do I get output and dimensions for my product?
Use each specification with its material, format and operating conditions. Our engineers define the output, pack-size range and utilities for your production requirements.
Can I test my product before ordering?
A representative sample test helps resolve material-specific questions before quotation. Please do not ship physical samples until the team has confirmed the quantity needed and where to send them.
Is this the configuration I would receive?
We configure the machine around your product, pack formats and production requirements. Our engineering review defines the model, equipment, options and operating conditions for your project.
What defines the scope of a Can Seaming Machines configuration?
Can seaming machines close a filled can by rolling the lid's edge and the can's flange into a seam, by hand-loaded station or on a conveyor, and with or without vacuum or nitrogen. The can and lid, the atmosphere in the can and the line output define the scope of a configuration.
