How the automatic vacuum nitrogen can seamer works
A servo motor and ball screw move the filled can into the vacuum chamber. The chamber is brought to vacuum and filled with nitrogen, and heat-treated Cr12 rollers form a double seam at the single station. The seaming head is raised and lowered electrically from the touchscreen, and the chamber's automatic dust removal runs at a frequency set there.
The touchscreen holds the seaming and residual-oxygen settings and shows alarms for no lid, missing lid, blocked cans and cylinder faults.
Residual oxygen below 3%: what to agree
The residual-oxygen specification is below 3%. We define the target for your product and can with the nitrogen purity, operating cycle and measurement method during application review. Send the level you need and how you check it, for example a headspace oxygen reading on closed cans.
Plan the nitrogen supply as well: its purity, its pressure at the machine and whether it comes from cylinders or a generator on site.
Why the listed speed is 4–8 cans per minute
Each can is evacuated and filled with nitrogen before it is seamed, so the cycle is longer than plain seaming. At 6 cans per minute, an 8-hour shift closes 2,880 cans before stops. For conveyor-fed vacuum seaming without nitrogen, the LV-135ZFG covers 25–35 cans per minute.

Working process
The sequence below outlines the packaging process. We coordinate the stations and their order with the selected equipment and line layout.
- Step 1 — The servo motor and ball screw move the filled can with its lid into the vacuum chamber.
- Step 2 — The chamber is brought to vacuum and filled with nitrogen.
- Step 3 — The seaming rollers form the double seam.
- Step 4 — The closed can leaves the chamber on the outfeed conveyor.

How this fits the Can Seaming Machines process
Can seaming machines close a filled can by rolling the lid's edge and the can's flange into a seam, by hand-loaded station or on a conveyor, and with or without vacuum or nitrogen. The can and lid, the atmosphere in the can and the line output define the scope of a configuration.
