Pet food packaging machine models at a glance
Three of our pet food packaging machines. The pouch packer and the LV-210 premade pouch machine have listed figures. The VFFS kibble bagger is quoted for your bag and output, so its card shows the weigher and film drive instead of numbers.

Which pet food packaging machine fits your bag?
The pack you sell decides the route; the product decides the details. Dry kibble and treats in bags formed from roll film go on a vertical form fill seal (VFFS) bagger with a multihead weigher. Treats in pouches you buy ready-made, often with a zipper, go on a premade pouch machine. Pet food cans and tins go on a can labeler after your own filling and seaming. The table shows where each pack starts.
| Finished pack | Machine | Listed figures | Where to compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kibble, treats and feed in stand-up, doypack, flat, gusset or pillow bags | Pet food pouch packer with multihead weigher | Weighing precision ±0.5–2.0 g, depending on pellet size and shape; 3.8 kW | Pet food pouch packing machine |
| Dry kibble and biscuits in pillow bags from roll film | VFFS bagger with a 10- or 14-head multihead weigher | Bag size and speed quoted per project | Vertical form fill seal machines |
| Treats in ready-made stand-up zipper pouches | Premade pouch machine LV-210 | Pouch 90–210 mm wide, 110–330 mm long; 20–70 bags/min | Premade pouch filling machines |
| Kibble and semi-moist treats on one line, with frequent product changes | Pet food packaging line with nitrogen flushing | Quoted per project | Pet food packaging line |
| Larger retail bags of kibble in heavy laminated or foil film | Large vertical pet food bagger | Maximum bag size confirmed per project | Large vertical pet food bagger |
| Pet food cans and tins | Can labeling machine | Quoted for your can and label | Labeling machines |
Not in the table: open-mouth sacks of 20–50 lb, and wet food filling and retort sterilization. We do not list machines for these. Tell us your requirements and we confirm whether they are within our supply scope.
Our pet food packaging machines
Each card is one machine. The pouch packer and the LV-210 premade pouch machine have listed specifications; for the other machines we quote bag size, speed and utilities for your project, so their cards show what the machine is built to handle instead.

Pet food pouch packing machine
A multihead weigher above a bagging unit, for dog food, cat food, freeze-dried treats, pet snacks, animal feed and birdseed. A pouch tapper settles the kibble before sealing and dust collection hoods keep fines off the seal.
- Weighing precision ±0.5–2.0 g, depending on pellet size and shape
- Stand-up, doypack, flat, gusset and pillow bags
- 3.8 kW, 220 V / 380 V, 50/60 Hz

VFFS pet food bagger with multihead weigher
Forms pillow bags from roll film and fills them from a multihead weigher with dimpled, non-stick surfaces. Listed for dry kibble, cat food, dog biscuits, freeze-dried treats and pelleted feed, and for mixed batches in variety packs.
- 10- or 14-head weigher
- Dual servo film pulling
- Nitrogen flushing; SUS304 contact parts

Vertical pet food bagger for oily kibble
Built for kibble that carries fat and comes in many shapes. Reinforced high-pressure jaws are built for a grease-resistant seal on oily kibble, and feeders with vibratory channels keep irregular pieces flowing without bridging in the chute.
- Reinforced high-pressure sealing jaws
- Anti-bridge feeders and vibratory channels
- PLC and HMI that reject faulty seals

Premade pouch machine LV-210
Picks a ready-made pouch, opens it including the zipper, fills it and seals it. We list the LV-210 for dry solids, pet food among them, so it suits treats sold in printed stand-up zipper pouches.
- Pouch 90–210 mm wide, 110–330 mm long
- 20–70 bags/min
- 3.5 kW, 220 V, 50/60 Hz

Pet food packaging line for kibble and treats
One line for dense dry kibble and softer semi-moist treats. Format parts change without tools, so a run can switch from kibble to treats, and nitrogen flushing with barrier sealing protects the texture of semi-moist products.
- Nitrogen flushing and barrier sealing
- Tool-free format change
- PLC and HMI with seal reject

Large vertical pet food bagger
A heavier vertical bagger for dense kibble in thick laminated or aluminum-foil barrier film. Servo film pulling keeps the film from slipping under the load, and pneumatic cross-sealing jaws with constant-temperature heating bars seal through kibble dust.
- Servo film pulling, pneumatic cross-sealing
- PID temperature control on the sealing jaws
- Maximum bag size confirmed per project

Pet food can labeling machine
Applies labels to pet food cans and tins after they are filled and closed. We have not published figures for it, so the can size, label type and position, and output are set for your can.
- Cans and tins
- Label layout set per project
- Output quoted for your can
VFFS pet food packaging machines for kibble
A VFFS bagger forms the bag from a single reel of film, fills it from the weigher above and seals it, so you buy film rather than finished pouches. It suits dry kibble, biscuits and treats that fall freely into the bag. Three things decide whether it works on pet food: the seal on fatty film, film tracking under heavy bags, and protection against oxidation.
- Seal through fat and dust. Kibble coated with fat leaves oil and fines on the sealing area, and a contaminated seal leaks. Our kibble baggers list reinforced high-pressure sealing jaws, and the large vertical bagger lists constant-temperature heating bars with PID control for thick foil and laminated films. Send the film specification and a reel sample so the seal settings are confirmed on your film.
- Heavy bags. Dense kibble pulls on the film. The VFFS configurations list servo film pulling, with dual servo belts on the multihead weigher version, so the film does not slip as the bag fills. We do not list a maximum bag weight; give us the heaviest bag you plan to run and we confirm the machine for it.
- Oxidation. Fats in dry pet food oxidize when oxygen reaches them. Nitrogen flushing is listed on the multihead VFFS bagger and on the pet food line. The residual oxygen you reach depends on the film barrier, bag volume, seal integrity and the flushing arrangement, so if you work to a target, state it and have it measured in a trial.
- Bag style. The pillow bag is the standard VFFS format. A flat-bottom quad-seal bag is set up on our quad-seal VFFS configuration; if you want that bag for kibble, or a zipper on a bag formed from roll film, say so and we confirm it for your project.
Pet treats bagged loose with chips and nuts follow the same weighing and sealing logic; the snack packaging selection guide covers fragile pieces and low-drop feeding in more depth.
Premade pouch machines for treats and stand-up bags
If you already buy printed stand-up pouches with a zipper, use a premade pouch machine. It picks each pouch, opens it including the zipper, fills it and seals it. The LV-210 lists pouches 90–210 mm wide and 110–330 mm long at 20–70 bags/min, on 3.5 kW and 220 V, 50/60 Hz. A pouch outside that range needs a different machine size, so check the pouch first.
On the pet food pouch packing machine, "stand-up bag" describes the finished pack, not how the bag is made. That machine can be quoted with ready-made pouches or with bags formed from roll film, and the two use different equipment. Tell us which you plan to buy before we propose a configuration.
- You buy finished pouches, with a zipper, a window or a shaped bottom: start with the premade pouch filling machines.
- You want to form bags from roll film and change sizes by changing the forming set: start with the VFFS machines.
- You are not sure which pouch style you need: stand-up pouch types and the machine each one needs compares them.
Weighing kibble and treats with a multihead weigher
A multihead weigher splits the product across many small weigh hoppers and releases the combination whose total comes closest to the target, so it handles irregular pieces such as kibble, biscuits and treats. Our pouch packer lists a weighing precision of ±0.5–2.0 g, depending on pellet size and shape. Our reading of that condition: large or irregular pieces are bigger increments of weight, so expect the wider end of the range for large biscuits and chunky treats, and confirm it on your product.
- Fat coating. Oily pieces stick to the weigher. The multihead VFFS bagger lists dimpled, non-stick contact surfaces.
- Fines and dust. Broken kibble and coating powder drift into the seal. The pouch packer lists a pouch tapper that settles the product before sealing and dust collection hoods at the jaws.
- Irregular shapes. Bones, rings and mixed shapes can bridge in the chute. The kibble bagger lists anti-bridge feeders with vibratory channels.
- Mixed products. The multihead VFFS bagger is listed for multi-product batches for variety packs. Give the number of components and the weight of each per bag.
- Fragile freeze-dried pieces. These break if they drop far. Low-drop hoppers are listed on our chip configurations; tell us the product is fragile so the drop height is reviewed for it.
Labeling pet food cans
We build a labeling machine for pet food cans and tins. Filling and seaming the cans are not part of it, and we do not list can fillers or retort equipment for wet food. We have not published figures for the can labeler, so send a can and a label sample, the label position and the output you need, and we quote the machine for that can. Other containers are covered on the labeling machines page, and round bottles and jars on the bottle labeling machines page.
How to choose a pet food packaging machine
Four checks narrow the route to one machine. Run them in this order, because a bag that does not fit the machine makes the later checks irrelevant.
1. Check the bag against the machine
- Ready-made pouches: the LV-210 lists pouches 90–210 mm wide and 110–330 mm long.
- Pouch packer: listed bag types are stand-up pouch, doypack, flat bag, gusset pouch and pillow pouch. Bag size is confirmed with your pouch or bag drawing.
- VFFS baggers: bag width is set by the forming set and film width, quoted for your bag. Send a bag drawing or a sample bag.
2. Size the machine from good output
A listed speed is the range of the machine, not a rate for your bag. The LV-210 lists 20–70 bags/min; where your bag sits in that range is confirmed with your product, fill weight and pouch. Work back from what you need to ship. Hypothetical example: 12,000 bags per 8-hour shift is 12,000 ÷ 480 minutes = 25 bags per minute if the machine never stops. Film or pouch changes, cleaning and rejects come off running time, so ask for good bags per minute on your product and bag, and compare that with your target.
3. Match weighing and sealing to the product
Tell us the piece size, how much fat the coating carries, how many fines the product sheds and whether the pieces are fragile or semi-moist. These decide the weigher surfaces, dust extraction, seal settings and whether nitrogen flushing belongs in the scope. The weighing section above lists what each machine is built to handle.
4. Check the site
- Power: the pouch packer lists 3.8 kW at 220 V / 380 V, 50/60 Hz; the LV-210 lists 3.5 kW at 220 V, 50/60 Hz. Give the voltage, phase and frequency at the machine position.
- Floor: the LV-210 measures 2150 × 1350 × 1300 mm and weighs 900 kg.
- Height: on the vertical baggers shown here, the multihead weigher sits on a platform above the bagger and an incline conveyor feeds it. Give us the clear height of the room and the route into it.
What affects the price of a pet food packaging machine
We do not publish prices, because the configuration sets the quotation. These choices change it most:
- Route: a VFFS bagger with a weigher, or a premade pouch machine that picks, opens and fills ready-made pouches.
- Weigher: the head count, such as 10 or 14 heads, and the contact surfaces for oily or sticky pieces.
- Machine size: a larger bagger for heavy bags and thick barrier film.
- Options: nitrogen flushing, dust extraction, a pouch tapper and coding.
- Formats: each extra bag size needs its own forming set or pouch change parts.
- Scope: product feeding to the weigher, the platform, and a can labeler if you need one.

What happens after you send your pet food details
Send what you have through WhatsApp or the project brief checklist; anything you have not decided can stay marked unknown. We work out which route and machine fit your bag and output, whether nitrogen flushing, dust extraction or zipper handling belong in the scope, and whether to run a sample test with your kibble and film first. You get back a configuration proposal, or a sample-test plan to agree before anything ships.
Questions buyers ask about pet food packaging machines
What is pet food packaging equipment?
Machines that weigh pet food into a pack and close it, plus the machines after them. For dry pet food that means a multihead weigher feeding a VFFS bagger or a premade pouch machine; for cans, a labeler after filling and seaming. Which one you need depends on the finished pack.
What machine is used to package dog food?
For dry dog food in retail bags there are two routes: a multihead weigher over a vertical form fill seal machine that makes the bag from roll film, or a premade pouch machine that fills stand-up pouches you buy ready-made. Our pouch packer is listed for dog food, cat food, freeze-dried treats, pet snacks, feed and birdseed.
Pet food bagging machine or VFFS: which one fits my bag?
"Bagging machine" often refers to filling large open-mouth sacks. Our machines make retail bags: a VFFS bagger forms them from roll film, and a premade pouch machine fills pouches you buy ready-made. We do not list open-mouth sack baggers, including 20–50 lb sacks; tell us the sack size and we confirm whether it is within our supply scope.
Can one machine pack both kibble and treats?
Often, yes, if the bag sizes are close. The pouch packer lists dog food, cat food, freeze-dried treats and pet snacks, and the pet food line changes format parts without tools between dry kibble and semi-moist treat runs. Name every product at the start so the weigher surfaces, change parts and changeover are covered in the quotation.
Can the bags be nitrogen flushed or have a zipper?
Nitrogen flushing is listed on the multihead VFFS bagger and the pet food line, and as an option on the pouch packer. For a zipper, the LV-210 opens ready-made zipper pouches before filling. A zipper on a bag formed from roll film is confirmed per project.
Do you supply wet pet food packaging machines?
We do not list machines for filling wet food, sealing cans or retort pouches, or sterilizing them. We do build a labeler for pet food cans. Tell us what your wet food line needs and we confirm whether it is within our supply scope.
How accurate is a multihead weigher on kibble?
Our pouch packer lists ±0.5–2.0 g, depending on pellet size and shape. Because the figure moves with the product, ask for the precision at your fill weight on your own kibble or treats.
